In 2015, IPPF's African Member Associations provided 39.8 million sexual and reproductive health services to young people under 25 years. This represents 47% of all services provided within the African Region.

The most common types of services provided to young people in 2015 were contraceptive and HIV-related.

In addition, over 627,000 young people completed a comprehensive sexuality education programme delivered by Member Associations.

Significantly, 84% of Member Associations within the African Region have 20% or young people under 25 years of age on their governing body.
