It is in 2007 that, after five years of several unsuccessful attempts and push and pull in a bid to see SRH issues given a rights approach, that the United Nations fi nally agreed to include Universal Access to reproductive health as a target with the Millennium Development Goal 5. The World Bank reinstated Family Planning and Reproductive Health into the Population Health and Nutrition Strategy and Country agreements.
