In reality, we at IPPF Africa Region work daily alongside public authorities and development partners towards improving lives of millions of Africans, notably the section of the less fortunate of the continent, although that beautiful contribution is not always known, nor it it even acknowledged.

However, with our network of 42 Member Associations in 42 countries and over 20,000 volunteers, we reach out to the most underserved populations in Africa, where even the public authorities reach with a lot of difficulties, to provide services to the poor woman who would want to plan her family and be knowledgeable about her sexual and reproductive health, but would not have been served otherwise to vulnerable young girls, including survivor of sexual abuse, child brides, to strengthen men's understanding of their masculinity and how it can be used positively to promote good sexual and reproductive health and constantly provide accessible services, that are rights based, even in the most difficult of circumstances.
