The International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Region (IPPFAR) is one of Africa’s leading non-governmental organization (NGO) working in reproductive health and rights. We provide a wide range of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and information to men and women from diverse social and economic backgrounds, through our network of Member Associations in 44 countries in sub-Sahara Africa .

Our main focus is to build our Member Associations into strong, efficient entities with the capacity to deliver and sustain high quality; youth focused, and gender sensitive services. Our Regional Office, which is based in Nairobi, Kenya, also endeavours to build regional consensus on sexual and reproductive health issues to ensure that these issues are included in Africa’s development agenda.

Our vision is an African society where every child is a wanted child, every person enjoys good health, and men, women and youth live free from HIV/AIDS.

Our mission is to provide leadership in sexual and reproductive health in sub-Saharan Africa through knowledge sharing, best practices and advocacy.
